The last chocolate chip cookie recipe you’ll ever use

i just want to share the love here… because it’s saturday and because i like to bake.

these chewy and delicious chocolate chip cookies always get all the attention. they outdo any other dessert in their class any day.

the recipe is probably the last one you will ever use for the chocolate chip cookie. Betty Crocker definitely knows what’s up. they’re thick and bursting with chocolate. the texture is perfectly crisp on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. 

i’m pretty sure baking is only my strong suit because well, anyone can follow a simple recipe and of course i thoroughly enjoy the fruit of my labor.

To Die For Chocolate Chip Cookies
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 lg. egg
2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 bag (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1. eat oven to 375*
2. beat sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. stir in flour, baking soda, salt (dough will be stiff), stir in chocolate chips.
3. drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
4. bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown (center will be soft). cool 1-2 minutes, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
the trick is to pull them from the oven a little earlier than you would think. because the heat carries over even after you remove them.
